About the role
The role applies subject matter expertise and contemporary risk assessment, emergency management, and business continuity methods in the provision of strategic direction and advice to RBWH Executive for whole-of-hospital Emergency and Business Continuity Management.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Lead the development and implementation of the RBWH emergency and business continuity program in close collaboration with the RBWH Executive and key stakeholders to ensure it meets the current and future needs of the RBWH and MNH. This includes leading activities to measure and demonstrate compliance with National Standards 1 and Health Services Directive 003:2017 Disaster and Emergency Incidents.
- Undertake regular risk assessment to confirm organisational exposure to natural and man-made hazards. Lead and collaborate on subsequent mitigation and preparedness activities to reduce risks to as low as reasonably practicable.
- Apply high-level judgement and latest evidence in advising the RBWH Executive and RBWH Incident Commander/ Incident Management Team on timely and effective disaster and emergency management risk assessment and action planning.
