The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist - Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver high level psychology clinical services including assessment, formulation and treatment
- Independently exercise clinical judgement in decision making and clinical management, handling an increasingly complex and varied caseload
- Undertake clinical governance activities related to psychology within the multidisciplinary team
- Provide clinical practice professional supervision to less experienced psychologists to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institution
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (60.8 hrs p.f.).
- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

The Psychology Service is located within Allied Health Services and provides both inpatient and outpatient services to patients presenting to hospital with physical health and comorbid psychological conditions. The Psychology teamwork within a multidisciplinary framework, providing holistic, person-centred care across the patient's hospital and discharge journey.
