About the role

To provide for the delivery of safe and nutritious food while adhering to Queensland Health guidelines, policies and procedures.  As a Food Safety Supervisor, oversee the day to day implementation of food safety in the workplace and apply and monitor food safety requirements.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • The preparation of meals for special dietary requirements.
  • Consultation with Stores Controller for ordering of stock and checking of food deliveries for quality, quantity, freshness and temperature.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge and application of cooking requirements and techniques.
  • Ability to follow standard recipes and catering procedures.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain records and documents relevant to the position.
