About the role

We are looking for dedicated, reliable, and compassionate individuals to join our Operational Services Team at West Moreton Health.

In this role, you'll be more than just “behind the scenes”—you'll be at the heart of patient care. Our team is responsible for:

  • Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across wards, clinics, and public areas to support infection control and patient safety.
  • Providing essential porterage services, including the safe and timely movement of patients, equipment, and supplies that keep the hospital running smoothly.
  • Creating a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring every interaction reflects care and respect.

By joining us, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering quality healthcare, supporting clinical teams, and making a real difference in the comfort, wellbeing, and recovery of our patients. 

  • Flexibility to work across a seven-day rotating roster is essential:
  • Week days, afternoons and night shifts, weekend shifts days, afternoons and night shifts. 

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Passionate about helping others in a healthcare environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and works well in a team
  • Detail-oriented and committed to cleanliness and safety
  • Able to follow health and safety guidelines, including infection control
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
  • Previous experience in hospitality, cleaning, or healthcare settings is a plus (but not essential – training is provided)

  • Ability to perform duties in porterage, patient handling, cleaning, courier, waste and linen services with a minimum of supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Sound communication skills with ability to effectively liase with staff, clients and visitors.
