You will be the primary point of contact for issues relating to ethics and governance submissions, whilst providing high level administrative support to key internal and external stakeholders including researchers, clinicians, sponsors and others. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that is dedicated to delivering high-quality clinical research treatments to cancer patients.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Efficiently prepare and coordinate all documentation required to gain Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and Research Governance Office (RGO) approval for clinical trials under the role's administration to a high standard in accordance with stakeholder and institutional key performance indicators.
- Demonstrate and maintain the ability to apply up-to-date knowledge in the area including new developments, legislation and industry standards such as Therapeutic Goods Agency (TGA), Good Clinical Practices Guidelines, the NHMRC Harmonisation of Multi-Centre Ethical Review Initiative, NHMRC National Standards and the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research.
- Provide accurate and timely general advice to internal and external stakeholders on research ethics and research governance processes, including requirements of ethics and Site-Specific Assessment (SSA) applications.
- Develop practical knowledge of the regulatory framework for the conduct of clinical trials and governance, particularly as it relates to human research, in a public health facility
Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $100 071 p.a., comprising salary rates: $45.81 - $50.46 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO4) (fixed term temporary part time position available for 12 months, 36 hrs p.f.).
