The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Administration Officer (Referral Intake) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide high level administration support to clinical and administration staff
- Maintain efficient administrative record management processes and systems
- Monitor and manage the referral intake queue within the Smart Referrals Workflow Solution
- Accurately identify the specialty and relatable service area and redirect referrals to those service areas
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- While not mandatory, the following will be highly regarded:
- Sound knowledge of Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS)
- Working knowledge of Integrated Electronic Medical Records (ieMR) and Enterprise Scheduling Management (ESM)
- Data entry and queue management experience.
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (6 months, with possibility of extension)
- Base salary $2 950.00 - $3 280.70 per fortnight

Emergency and Specialty Services are provided across many sites including Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital, Southport and Robina Health Precincts and Palm Beach and Helensvale Community Centres. The Referral Intake team support the clinical functioning of these business areas by supporting effective referral navigation to support patients accessing the right care in the right place at the right time.
