Your new role:

As a Bereavement Counsellor, you will deliver compassionate counselling and support to adults receiving palliative care and their families, both pre- and post-death. You'll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team providing holistic, patient-centred care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering assessment, therapeutic intervention, counselling, and advocacy
  • Supporting families through loss, grief, and adjustment to bereavement
  • Contributing to discharge planning, case conferences and care networks
  • Providing education and supervision to students and allied health assistants
  • Engaging in service improvement and quality activities
