Your new role:
As Principal Medical Workforce Officer, you will deliver efficient, professional, and client-focused medical employment services for QEII Jubilee Hospital and peripheral sites. You'll manage recruitment, appointment, credentialing, compliance, and workforce coordination to support safe and effective healthcare delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end medical recruitment, appointments, and contracts
- Ensuring compliance with AHPRA, visa, credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements
- Providing high-level advice to executives, managers, and Medical Officers
- Coordinating RMO and Registrar recruitment campaigns and workforce planning
- Leading process improvements, audits, and reporting initiatives
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About you:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional with strong experience in medical workforce administration and compliance. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring advanced problem-solving and communication skills.
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in medical workforce, recruitment, or HR administration
- Knowledge of medical registration, credentialing, visas, and compliance processes
- High-level communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Commitment to integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
