The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Cardiology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

 You will

• be responsible and accountable for role modelling excellent nursing care
• provide leadership, direction and support to other nursing staff
• provide advanced nursing care in the assessment and intervention for patients
• seek and promote all learning opportunities available

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent  
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

• Permanent part time
• Base salary ranging from $54.45 - $58.30 per hour

About Us

The Cardiology Inpatient Unit encompasses 24 beds and works collaboratively with the Coronary Care Unit (CCU), a secondary Cardiology inpatient unit (B4N), Cardiac Catheter Suite (CCS), Clinical Measurements Unit (CMU) and Cardiac Rehabilitation (CR) to provide optimal care and management for patients with Cardiac Diseases and associated health issues. Care is delivered by a team of knowledgeable and skilled staff in Cardiology.
