The Acute Care Team is the first point of contact for public mental health services. The team provides a 24/7 service that triages consumers and organises either inpatient, community or crisis intervention care based on their individual needs.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $128,169 to $137,918 p.a. (HP4)
- Salary range: $132,562 to $143,924 p.a. (NG7)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity:
We're looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician to join our Acute Care Team at The Townsville Hospital. In this vital role, you'll provide triage, assessment, and consultation liaison for individuals referred by the Emergency Department, acting as the key point of entry for mental health consumers into the Mental Health Service Group (MHSG) outside of regular business hours.
Applications will be accepted from: Clinical Nurse Consultants, Senior Clinical level Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers.
Requirements:
- Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (if applicable)
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
