About the work unit / facility

Oral Health Services is part of the Women's and Children's Service Group within Townsville HHS. The team delivers high-quality dental care across the region, including fixed and mobile clinics, correctional centres, and aged care facilities. Services range from preventative care to emergency treatment for eligible clients.

Competitive salary and benefits

  • Salary between $2624.50 – $2759.10 per fortnight (CA3).
  • 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading.
  • Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.

About your opportunity

As a Dental Assistant, you will support dental officers and oral health therapists in delivering high-quality care. Your role includes chairside assistance, infection control, sterilisation, stock management, and equipment maintenance. You'll contribute to a safe, efficient, and patient-focused environment across multiple clinics.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or willingness to complete within 12 months).
  • Ability to travel and work across multiple clinics, including overnight stays.
  • Vaccination Preventable Disease (VPD) compliance.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (if applicable).
  • Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
  • A probationary period may apply.
