Your new role:
As the Executive Support Officer to the COO, you will be the central point for managing confidential communications, coordinating executive-level meetings and events and ensuring the smooth operation of the COO's office. Your role is vital in enabling the COO to focus on strategic priorities by expertly managing their schedule and stakeholder interactions. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-level, confidential administrative support to the COO.
- Coordinating meetings, workshops, forums, and large-scale health service events.
- Managing and prioritising the COO's email and correspondence.
- Maintaining and coordinating the COO's diary, including travel arrangements.
- Serving as secretariat for meetings, including minute taking and document preparation.
- Collaborating with various Metro South Health teams and external stakeholders.

You are an organised, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You excel at communication, problem-solving and managing priorities with precision and discretion. Ideal skills and attributes include:
- Exceptional organisational and planning skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage high-level meetings and events.
- High proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Experience using Content Manager or similar document and correspondence management systems.
- Adaptable to shifting priorities and able to work independently and collaboratively.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
