Specialist Courts Support Officer
Magistrates Courts Service; Queensland Courts Service; Courts and Tribunals; Brisbane City
There are 2 positions available. Both positions deliver efficient and effective administrative and clerical support for programs supporting day to day operations; and are required to work as part of an overall administrative support team contributing to the success of Court Innovation Program (CIP) in meeting its business objectives.
Position 1: Specialist Courts, Referral and Support Services (SCRSS)
This position supports all SCRSS programs and teams. The role requires strong interpersonal and customer service skills working with staff across statewide programs and with court users at front reception or at court.
Position 2: Business Team
This position supports the Business Team providing support to CIP management, and other CIP staff located across the state through a variety of governmental and organisational software platforms.

- Provide administrative functions and confidential administrative support including but not limited to diary management, meeting coordination, minute taking, co-ordinate and conduct the booking of QFleet vehicles, travel booking, and any other tasks as directed by your manager.
- Undertake and maintain financial and procurement processes, through the accurate preparation and processing of orders, GPEV and corporate card payments, purchase orders and expenditure claims.
- Maintain, update and archive records in program databases. Adhere to records collection, collation and management procedures and perform data integrity checks, and cross referencing as required.
- Assist with CIP Human Resource functions such as advertising, recruitment, induction, onboarding, and separation processes.
- Prepare routine correspondence, documents, and other material, in relation to project and program matters.
- Take ownership of developing skills, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current practices and procedures, seeking feedback, and staying motivated when managing challenging tasks.

- In the SCRSS position you will:

- Provide frontline services including answering general enquiries at reception, direct program participants and/or visitors as required, screen telephone calls and redirect enquiries to appropriate staff and perform office opening and closing procedures. In doing so, you will keep stakeholders of the courts at the heart of service delivery and respond to their needs in a trauma-aware and compassionate manner, ensuring the prompt resolution of enquiries, requests issues and complaints.
- Recognise any risks presenting at reception including anti-social behaviours of court users and escalating to internal senior staff or partner agencies.
- Assist with court functions and the coordination of documentation including reports for submission to the court in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and protocols.
