About your role
As a Registered Nurse within Perioperative Services at QEII Hospital, you'll work collaboratively with a skilled multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent outcomes for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
In this role, you will:
- Provide patient-centred, high-quality perioperative care across a range of specialties.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team.
- Support quality initiatives and evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in education, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Adapt to the dynamic environment of perioperative services, including on-call and emergency cases.
About you
You are a dedicated, resilient, and compassionate nurse with a passion for delivering safe and effective perioperative care. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent teamwork, and are committed to ongoing professional growth.
You will bring:
- Experience in perioperative nursing (preferable)
- Strong clinical knowledge, assessment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends and participation in on-call rosters.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
