Your new role:
As Senior Psychologist within Redland Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in delivering psychology services within the Acute Mental Health Unit. You will provide direct patient care, contribute to service improvement, and mentor less experienced staff and students by:
- Delivering evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention and evaluation within a multidisciplinary team.
- Acting as a clinical reference point and applying advanced clinical judgement to complex cases.
- Contributing to the development of best practice guidelines, policies and protocols.
- Providing supervision, support and training to psychologists, students and allied health assistants.
- Leading and participating in quality improvement and research initiatives to advance service delivery.
- Supporting care across Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services, which may include travel to Logan Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and other sites as required.
About you:
You will be an experienced and motivated Psychologist, passionate about delivering excellent patient-centred care while guiding and supporting others. Your strengths will include:
- Demonstrated expertise in providing complex psychological services within acute mental health.
- Strong ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams, with excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- High-level clinical and time management skills, including managing complex caseloads and prioritising effectively.
- Proven leadership capabilities in supervising and supporting junior practitioners and students.
- A track record of initiating and evaluating service improvement projects.

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs. We provide a range of services including emergency care, primary health and minor injury care, acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
