Team Leader Financial Assessment

The Team Leader – Financial Assessment is a key role responsible for conducting complex financial assessments and providing expert advice on the QBCC’s Minimum Financial Requirements. This position also contributes to developing and delivering programs that identify licensees experiencing financial distress, supporting the long-term stability of the building and construction industry. The role offers the flexibility to work from any of QBCC’s regional offices, subject to desk availability.

Key Outcomes and Accountabilities
This role is responsible for conducting compliance financial assessments, including reviewing financial information, initiating audits, and monitoring licence condition compliance. It provides expert advice on the MFR Regulation 2018 and QBCC Act 1991, contributes to strategic and operational planning, and may represent the QBCC in tribunals or educational activities. The position also involves stakeholder engagement, data reporting, and task allocation within the unit.
Candidate Attributes
The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting legislation and financial statements, applying accounting principles, and understanding business structures. Strong communication, problem-solving, case management, and data analysis skills are also essential.
