The Ministerial Services Unit reports to the Director of Strategic Services within the Policy and Performance Division of the Queensland Police Service (QPS). The team is required to be agile and act on the broader QPS strategic direction in their daily interactions.

Ministerial Services provides executive support services to assist in the preparation and progression of information and documentation to the Minister and Department of Premier and Cabinet and oversees the quality assurance of documents, records and processes.

The role requires working closely with a broad range of stakeholders from within the QPS, across other government agencies and the Minister's Office.

Your key accountabilities

The core capability requirements for this role are:

  • Prepare high level Ministerial correspondence and Parliamentary correspondence and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Provide a high level of effective administrative support to the Ministerial Services Unit and Strategic Services.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor, develop and maintain systems, business processes, practices, and procedures to ensure the effective management and confidentiality of correspondence, records and data.
  • Coordinate and maintain the Ministerial Opportunities Event Schedule for the QPS.
  • Undertake research and participate in projects or initiatives as required.
