About your role
As an Enrolled Nurse in the Wisteria Unit, you will contribute to high-quality, evidence-based mental health care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This is a rewarding role where you will make a real difference in the lives of people receiving extended care.
You will:
- Deliver safe and compassionate patient care within your scope of practice.
- Support patients in developing daily living and social skills to enhance recovery.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide holistic, person-centred care.
- Assist in planning, documenting, and evaluating patient care in consultation with the RN.
- Uphold quality, safety, and infection control standards in daily practice.
- Provide health promotion and education to patients and carers.
- Mentor and support Assistants in Nursing and contribute to a positive team environment.
About you
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse who thrives in a team environment and is committed to supporting recovery in mental health.
You will bring:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as an Enrolled Nurse (with medication endorsement).
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe, person-centred care in a mental health setting.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
- Ability to work flexibly across all shifts in line with the unit roster.
- A collaborative and compassionate approach to patient care.
