Team Leader
Park Services, Management & Operations, QPWS & Partnerships, Brisbane (Flexible)
This position reports to the Manager, Fire Services within the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Partnerships (QPWS&P) and primarily leads the Fire Policy team to assist with the delivery of projects and programmes under the annual business plan. The position is responsible for developing and supporting contemporary fire-related policies and guidelines for QPWS&P. Responsibilities include representing QPWS&P at internal forums such as fire governance groups. As well as external inter-agency working groups.

The role requires the ability to work collaboratively on individual and team projects in both office and field environments, including remote locations. It supervises two positions: Senior Policy Officer and Senior Project Officer (Policy). This role leads a high-performing, state-wide team focused on continuous business improvement, valuing initiative, collaboration, and results delivery. Strong networking and stakeholder engagement skills, both internal and external, are essential.
