Senior Case Manager

In this role you will ensures a high level of community safety through the case management of adults subject to orders within the community. The position acts in accordance with assessed risk and need and maintains high standards of assessment practices that facilitate effective supervision, and improved reintegration and rehabilitation of individuals subject to community-based orders.

The most suitable applicant will demonstrate their applied knowledge, skills and experiences against these essential role requirements:
• Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management, staff and internal and external stakeholders at all levels, to gain commitments and negotiate service delivery, priorities, deadlines, resources and other relevant issues
• Able to work self-sufficiently and to cope with the pace, complexity and multi-tasking required in the operating environment.
• Able to demonstrate experience working within a legislative framework that underpins a core service delivery area.
• Ability to build and manage ongoing working relationships with a range of stakeholders
• Interpersonal skills for negotiating with key stakeholders, who often have competing interests, on sensitive and complex issues.
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills
Other conditions and requirements
As this position will require travel and work across various locations possession of a driver's licence, minimum C class Australian licence is a mandatory requirement.
There may be instances where the incumbent will be required to work hours outside the normal work hours, undertake travel to other locations, or temporarily work from an alternate location.
Individuals employed on a permanent or temporary basis will be required to complete Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community). All activities and assessments associated with the Certificate IV are to be completed within 12 months of commencing their employment, and certification achieved within 18 months.
