As a Senior Field Officer, you will be at the forefront of engaging with stakeholders including employers, training providers, schools and community organisations. You will provide clear and practical advice on VET programs, apprenticeships and traineeships, support compliance with legislation and policies, and help resolve issues. You will also contribute to regional planning, analyse information, prepare reports, and represent the department in working groups and committees.

As part of the Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) regional team, you will contribute to delivering local services that align with the department's priorities. This includes:
- Supporting and regulating Queensland's apprenticeship and traineeship system.
- Driving strategic training investment to meet workforce needs and skills shortages.
- Connecting businesses, schools and individuals with programs like Skilling Queenslanders for Work.
- Providing advice to strengthen the quality of Queensland's VET sector and promote continuous improvement.

As the Senior Field Officer, you will
