About us:
Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland, now providing integrated cancer care services in Central Queensland in the newly established building boasting state of the art medical equipment. Specialist Medical Services offered at the Rockhampton Hospital include Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Cardiology, Renal Medicine, Palliative Care, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Intensive Care and Anaesthetics. There are also a range of clinical services provided on a visiting basis from tertiary hospitals in Queensland.
About the role:
- Provide leadership, management and direction to the front-line administration staff in the Emergency Department (ED), ensuring the delivery of services in a professional and proficient manner whilst ensuring operational effectiveness.
- This role reports directly to the Director of Corporate and Support Services (Rockhampton Hospital) and will work collaboratively with all administration leaders across Corporate Services and the broader Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast and Mount Morgan Group to ensure best practice administrative practices are implemented and maintained to support continuous improvement and respond effectively in an environment of ongoing change.
About you:
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in business, health administration or public service administration would be well regarded.
- Ability to lead and manage an administrative team within a busy clinical multidisciplinary environment, including demonstrated ability to provide professional supervision, leadership, development and guidance to administrative support staff, including an understanding of contemporary human resource management.
- Proven ability and experience in managing and prioritising the commitments and associated activities for staff including the ability to initiate, determine and follow up work priorities within mandated and tight deadlines.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $9,515 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $45.81 - $50.46 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
