What you'll do 

  • Manage product-based planning, risk management, reporting and program closure, and in addition analyse, plan and manage specialised work packages.
  • Ensure program management projects and products are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines and Queensland Health formal project management approach and methodologies to enable the achievement of consistent and quality program outcomes.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on program related trends and performance against program plans and schedules.
  • Develop formal and comprehensive program and project artefacts, templates, setups, guidelines, and training manuals.
  • Develop, review, and endorse a range of program management tool configurations and setups by ensuring the content is correct and is consistent with the approved Queensland Health project management approach.

About you 

We are searching for someone who has: 

  • Experience in a large scale, complex project environment, including product-based planning, risk management, reporting and project closure, and an ability to analyse, plan and manage specialised work packages.
  • High level knowledge and application of appropriate project management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2), and an ability to provide expert advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, planning methodologies and scheduling tools within projects and Project Management Offices.
  • Ability to develop and manage one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups, and facilitate the business change decision-making processes, and the planning and implementation of change.
  • Proven high level negotiation, consultation, facilitation, and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program/project environment.
  • Ability to lead, manage and mentor a small project team in relation to product-based planning techniques.
