About Data Operations Unit
Data Operations is one of three directorates within the Performance division, dedicated to building, maintaining and evolving industry- leading data assets that deliver critical insights and enable data informed decision making across Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
About Your New Role
You will provide leadership within a collaborative team, leveraging expertise in cloud data platforms including Snowflake and AWS. The role is responsible for architecting, developing, and optimising scalable data solutions, applying agile methodologies to ensure efficient delivery of high-quality data services. This includes:
- Lead a team of data experts in the delivery of quality data services in an agile environment
- Drive standards, design processes and uplift team technical capability
- Research emerging data and analytics initiatives across GCHHS and Queensland Health
- Liaise and negotiate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience and proficiency with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and AWS is mandatory
- Experience and proficiency with Agile Methodology and Delivery Framework is mandatory
- Strong leadership experience in data analytics and data engineering is mandatory
- While not mandatory experience and proficiency in the MS SQL Server, Integration Services, Management Studio and Transact SQL is highly regarded
- While not mandatory a relevant tertiary qualification is highly regarded
- While not mandatory understanding of health data and Queensland Health information systems is highly regarded
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $150 906 - $159 677 per annum
