As Director, Information and Digital Science Delivery within the Science Division, you will lead the transformation of Queensland’s scientific High Performance Computing (HPC), data, and digital capabilities. This role provides strategic direction across large-scale scientific data platforms, driving innovation in data collection, analysis and delivery to support government programs, policy, and legislation.
You will oversee governance frameworks, ensure compliance with privacy and security requirements and build strong partnerships with government, research, industry and community stakeholders to deliver trusted, accessible, and fit-for-purpose digital solutions.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:
• Proven senior leadership experience at director or executive level, with the ability to lead complex, high-performing teams and manage multiple priorities across a large, diverse business area.
• Experience managing large-scale digital initiatives, including developing strategies, roadmaps, and innovative approaches to data and platform delivery.
• Strong understanding of scientific computing/ HPC, data management, and digital platforms, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience implementing governance frameworks, managing risk, corporate liabilities and intellectual property challenges associated with scientific data and digital initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of building and maintaining strategic relationships across government/ whole of business, research, industry, and community partners.
• People management expertise, including fostering knowledge transfer, accountability, and sustainable processes within a high-performing team.
Qualifications:
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in science, information management, or a related field, post-graduate training in digital platforms or information management systems is highly regarded.
• Eligibility to work in Australia and willingness to travel as required.
