Manager
Events and Policy Coordination, Office of the Director-General, Brisbane City
As Manager, you will lead a small team, working collaboratively to provide strategic and operational event and policy briefing materials to the Premier, the Premier’s representatives and/or the Director-General. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with the Premier’s Office, departmental executives, key stakeholders and members of the community.
You will:
• research, prepare and edit submissions, briefs, reports and correspondence of a complex nature relating to event, media and meeting materials.
• investigate and implement improved efficiencies, communications, guidelines and processes for the management of briefing materials.
• provide management support to the Director, Executive Services.

How you'll contribute
As our valued Team Leader, you will play a vital part in contributing to the creation of innovative and strategic policy solutions that will assist in delivering Queensland Government priorities. In this diverse and intellectually stimulating role, you'll make your mark by:
• Lead a team of communication and policy professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment to enable delivery of high quality briefing materials that meet client needs.
• Ensure the accuracy, quality and timeliness of information provided for briefing materials.
• Facilitate strategic, quality, comprehensive and timely liaison between the Premier's office, departmental units, other government agencies and external stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships across government and with clients and stakeholders.
• Identify and implement systems and process improvements to ensure alignment with government priorities and internal business, and policy and client requirements.
