As part of the Ministerial Services IT team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality IT support to VIP and Ministerial Services customers. This is your chance to lead a team, solve complex challenges, and contribute to the success of the Queensland government.
This role is based fulltime onsite at 1 William Street, Brisbane City, and requires after-hours on-call participation and intra-state travel.

What you'll bring to the role
Your relevant experience and your ability to:
- Leading and mentoring a Service Desk team to deliver proactive, timely, and high-quality support.
- Managing task planning, resource allocation, reporting and prioritisation to meet deadlines and customer needs.
- Resolving technical hardware and software issues promptly and providing clear, timely advice to customers.
- Applying escalation procedures and ensuring unresolved issues are referred to the appropriate team for prompt resolution.
- Maintaining effective communication with customers, vendors, and service providers.
- Developing and motivating your team to create a professional and high-performing workforce.
- Providing technical advice on system administration, including installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Monitoring and improving Service Desk operations, recommending changes to enhance efficiency.
- Ensuring systems are secure, patched, and protected from unauthorised access.
- Collaborating with the Infrastructure team and IT management to develop bestpractice strategies.
- Supporting the delivery of IT projects as required.
