About the School 

Victoria Park State School, located in South Mackay near the beautiful Queens Park Gardens, is a Prep to Year 6 school with a proud history of excellence since 1926. The school sets high standards for learning and behaviour, reflected in strong academic results and community respect. Students enjoy diverse cultural and sporting opportunities, including music ensembles, choirs, and a strong sporting program. Victoria Park leads the way in technology, being the first Mackay state primary school to introduce a one-to-one laptop program, with students now using iPads and laptops in their learning. The school values parent involvement through the Parents and Citizens Association and the School Council. At Victoria Park, traditions are valued, innovation is embraced, and it's a great place to work.

About the Role  

The Student Wellbeing Workforce aims to ensure every Queensland primary and secondary state school student has access to a wellbeing professional at school. The focus of the role is to provide support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns. Wellbeing professionals employed through the Student Wellbeing Workforce program work as part of schools' established student support teams to enhance the wellbeing and mental health support available to students.
