West Moreton Education and Training Centre is currently inviting applications from passionate and enthusiastic teachers. West Moreton Education and Training Centre is a co-educational school which delivers educational programs for up to 32 remanded and sentenced young people at the West Moreton Youth Detention Centre. Our staff are committed to helping improve the knowledge, skills and abilities of our students, many of whom have had disrupted or negative experiences of schooling. We seek to educate the whole person by providing opportunities for growth, development and learning, which will prepare young people for a balanced worthwhile future.

WMETC students have diverse learning needs and a significant majority have had disrupted or negative schooling experiences. We seek to address this by supporting students to close individual learning gaps and attain vocational skills leading to qualifications. We prioritise supporting students to develop language skills, foster positive behaviours and social skills and cultivate pathways.
