Your new role:

As a Senior Exercise Physiologist, you'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to adults with severe and complex mental health concerns within our inpatient settings. You'll work collaboratively in an interprofessional team, supporting both physical and mental wellbeing through tailored exercise interventions.

This is a key leadership role that combines clinical excellence, service development, and mentoring responsibilities to help advance holistic, recovery-focused care across Metro South Health.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide evidence-based assessment, intervention, and evaluation for adult inpatients with complex mental health presentations.
  • Deliver specialist exercise physiology services that promote recovery, physical health, and wellbeing.
  • Lead and contribute to service improvement, research, and the development of clinical protocols.
  • Offer supervision, education, and guidance to junior clinicians, students, and Allied Health Assistants.

About you:

You're a passionate and skilled Exercise Physiologist who thrives in dynamic, team-based environments. You bring advanced clinical reasoning, leadership qualities, and a strong commitment to improving both mental and physical health outcomes for consumers.

You will demonstrate:

  • Proven expertise in delivering exercise physiology services in complex clinical and/or mental health settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Confidence in prioritising, managing, and evaluating caseloads in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience mentoring and supporting less experienced clinicians or students.
