Role details

The Clinical Support Services at the Proserpine Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Cardiac Rehab) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

The Clinical Nurse Consultant is Responsible for undertaking physical and psycho-social assessment, liaison, nursing and therapeutic intervention, education and referrals, along the continuum of care for clients between the hospital and the home who have or are at risk of having a cardiac event or who suffer from a chronic cardiac condition. The position offers inpatient consultation service as well as an outpatient service for clients living in the Whitsundays.

About the Team

The Whitsunday Health Service is made up of two facilities, The Community Health Campus – Cannonvale and the Hospital Campus – Proserpine. The hospital is a 35 bed acute hospital which offers a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services. The Community Health Campus offers a range of community health services provided by a multi-disciplinary team.  The Whitsunday Heath Service covers the Whitsunday Regional Shire, Midge Point and Bloomsbury.
