Your team - Communications and Media
The Communications and Media team sits within the wider Corporate Services area and works across the organisation to deliver on EDQ's priorities by providing strategic and operational communications and media services, promoting the work of EDQ while also informing and influencing stakeholder perceptions. The Communications and Media team works closely with the Marketing and Engagement team to provide consistent and relevant information and messaging across a range of channels and also supports the Chief Executive and the Executive Leadership Team in their interactions with stakeholders.

Your contribution
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
» Leading the co-ordination, development and implementation of a range of communication strategies, plans, services and activities, that promote and support the work of EDQ.
» Leading the co-ordination, development and execution of media strategies to ensure EDQ's key strategic priorities are communicated to audiences through a variety of traditional media channels, collaborating with experts in other communications fields to amplify the message.
» Leading the production of a range of high-quality media materials including responses to enquiries, releases, talking points, speeches and news articles.
» Liaising and building relationships with ministerial advisors, senior executives, government departments external organisations and media outlets for proactive and reactive media.
» Liaising and building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including local government and industry to provide on-going engagement about the role of EDQ and its work.
» Providing, and guiding a small team to provide, strategic advice to key business areas to identify their communication requirements and collaborate with EDQ's Marketing and Engagement team to produce tailored solutions.
» Demonstrating sound governance by evaluating possible solutions and takes appropriate steps to mitigate risk.
