Working within the Strategy, Policy and Governance division, you will support strategic policy, research, evaluation and reporting initiatives that contribute to delivery of the ECQ's objectives. The role will also support the work of the Communication team on a range of projects.

• Support the coordination of corporate governance, policy and strategy development and advice and research functions within ECQ.
• Support the coordination of internal and external communication projects and initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement in ECQ's operations by providing input to strategic policy advice and research priorities.
• Provide secretariat, research and policy support to the Local Government Change Commission, including coordinating meetings, producing papers, briefs and correspondence, engaging with stakeholders, managing records and preparing reports.
• Demonstrate familiarity with the public sector context, including an understanding of corporate governance, ability to interpret and apply legislative requirements, and research skills.
• Coordinate multiple priorities with a strong ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate good written communication and analytical skills.
• Build strong relationships and work collaboratively with external stakeholders, such as representatives of government departments.
• Support opportunities to enhance ECQ's strategic operating framework in delivering its responsibilities.
• Consistently display flexibility and the ability to apply different skills appropriately to ensure the objectives of the team are met.
• Consistently display the ECQ and Queensland Government values, ensuring that these are upheld at all levels of the organisation.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, knowledge of corporate governance, policy or communications in a government setting is highly desirable.
