The Occupational Therapy Unit within the Allied Health Services Division at Townsville University Hospital provides high-quality care across a range of clinical areas including Medical, Surgical, Palliative Care, Oncology, Paediatrics, Rehabilitation, Sub-Acute and Pain Management. As part of a multidisciplinary team, Occupational Therapists deliver effective and efficient interventions tailored to patient needs.

Competitive salary and benefits
- Salary between Casual: $49.83 – $73.24 per hour / Temporary: $39.86 – $58.59 per hour (HP3).
- 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading.
- Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.

About your opportunity
This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help the Townsville Hospital and Health Service identify potentially suitable applicants for future Occupational Therapy employment opportunities.
If deemed suitable your details will remain in the Clinical Talent Pool for a period of 12 months and you will be contacted further by the Occupational Therapy Department at the time an opportunity arises.
Further participation in other recruitment selection processes (for example written application and/or interview) to further assess suitability for appointment to a specific position may be required. Specialty skills will be assessed to determine eligibility for available positions.
This rotational Occupational Therapist position offers the chance to work across a variety of clinical areas within Townsville University Hospital. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering base-level clinical services, with opportunities to build expertise and contribute to service improvement initiatives. The role supports professional development and provides exposure to a tertiary teaching hospital environment.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- Ability to operate a class C motor vehicle with appropriate licence endorsement.
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays on a rostered basis.
- Evidence of vaccination or immunity to VPDs as per Queensland Health Policy.
- A probationary period may apply.
