As a crucial part of our multidisciplinary team, social workers play a vital role in providing holistic care to patients and their families by addressing the social, emotional, and practical factors that impact health and recovery. You'll work within the dynamic environment of the acute hospital setting, providing essential support to those in their greatest time of need.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate competent knowledge, expertise and skill in the provision of social work services commensurate with level of experience in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, existing evidence-based practice and established clinical protocols. For complex or novel cases, you will seek direction from clinical seniors as appropriate.
- Participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve patient/client care, including the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the work environment.
- Commit to ongoing professional, service and individual development through participation in activities including professional development activities, professional supervision, supervision of students or clinical assistants, research activities.
