Step Into Your Next Chapter:

As the Administration Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of a vibrant primary school. Working closely with the leadership team, you will provide essential support across HR, finance, facilities, and administration, contributing to a positive and well-organised environment for staff, students, and families.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Principal and Business Manager in workforce planning, recruitment, induction, and performance monitoring of school support staff.
  • Oversee a range of financial and administrative operations, including budgets, purchasing, and reporting in line with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate facilities management, maintenance schedules, asset management, and workplace health and safety compliance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency across HR, finance, and facilities functions.
  • Manage compliance requirements such as Blue Cards, ADOs, and staff training records.

The panel will be looking for a candidate who:

  • Is organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in supporting school operations.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across diverse teams.
  • Understands financial and HR processes within a school or similar environment.
  • Embodies the Department's Leadership Competencies for Queensland, particularly in accountability, relationship-building, and results-driven practice.
