An exciting opportunity exists for a Principal Contracts and Procurement Officer in our Contract and Procurement team. The Principal Procurement and Contracts Officer is responsible for providing specialist advice, leadership and complex tactical and strategic support in the Sunshine Coast Health procurement function including delivery of the Digital Health/ICT and significant program of work for new and replacement of health technology solutions and equipment.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate strategic procurement activities, including Digital Health/ICT and major health
technology equipment, providing advice to key stakeholders and Executive sponsors to ensure value is
being created for the health service through the development and implementation of effective and efficient
procurement strategies. - Undertake and implement complex end to end procurement processes for the health service including
resolution and escalation of issues in procurement and contract management - Ensure procurement processes comply with Queensland Health governance requirements and identify
and implement continuous improvement strategies that optimise procurement efficiency. - Undertake early procurement engagement in significant spend areas with suppliers and internal
stakeholders to maximise procurement impact and contract value.
Remuneration value up to $166 569 p.a., comprising salary between $136 035 - $145 990 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO7).
