About the Role
The Literacy Coach plays a key role in supporting the implementation of the school's “Realising the Reading Potential of Every Student” framework. The role focuses on building teacher capability in literacy pedagogy, delivering coaching and mentoring across faculties, and supporting consistent, high-quality reading instruction. Working collaboratively with the leadership team, the coach will drive evidence-based practices that enhance student engagement, literacy achievement, and academic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide literacy-focused coaching and mentoring aligned with the school's AIP.
- Model best practice in literacy instruction and assessment.
- Support teachers in implementing high-impact reading and writing strategies.
- Use data to monitor and improve literacy outcomes.
- Collaborate with staff to align literacy pedagogy across all learning areas.
- Lead professional learning that builds teacher confidence and expertise in reading instruction.
