About the Role:
As Head of Department - Humanities, Business LOTE, you will lead a large team to design and deliver innovative and responsive curricular and co-curricular programs within the faculty. You will oversee the coordination of curriculum and enrichment programs across disciplines of Humanities, Business (including Diploma of Business and CIII Entrepreneurship and New Business) and Languages (Chinese, Spanish and Japanese). You will contribute to the broader strategic agenda of the school as a member of the Yeronga Leadership Team.
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
- Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.

About You:
The role of Head of Department (Humanities, Business, LOTE) is suited to a dynamic, relational and organised educator with a passion for curriculum leadership and for building capable and high-performing teams.
The ideal candidate will set high standards for student and staff performance, be futures oriented and strategic, and demonstrate a holistic, proactive and collaborative approach to leading a dynamic faculty in alignment with the school's strategic priorities.
