As our Senior Intelligence Analyst, you will conduct intelligence analysis within the National Fire Ant Eradication Program (NFAEP). This includes utilising advanced intelligence tools, creating and managing collection plans, and tasking Services and Agencies (SANDA).
A list of likely tasks you will undertake is as follows:
• Intelligence Analysis: Use various Intelligence and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) tools to gather, analyse, and interpret complex data related to fire ant eradication efforts.
• Collection Plans: Create and manage collection plans to systematically gather intelligence. Ensure these plans align with the NFAEP's strategic objectives and accurately collect against NFAEP priorities.
• Collection Management: Task and manage collection of specific intelligence. Coordinate with analysts and other stakeholders to ensure the timely and accurate collection of data.
• Intelligence Analysis Techniques: Apply various intelligence analysis techniques to interpret collected data. Identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform the NFAEP's eradication strategies.
• Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports detailing intelligence findings, trends and recommendations. Present these reports to senior management and other key stakeholders.
• Compliance: Ensure all intelligence activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of intelligence tools and methodologies and implement improvements as necessary to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of intelligence operations.
You may also have:
• While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, formal tertiary or industry qualifications in data science, statistics, environmental science, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) or a related discipline with an interest in spatial technologies are desirable. Experience in an intelligence role, preferably within a government or environmental context is also desirable.
