About the Team

The Medical Workforce and Education Service (MWES) supports the recruitment, registration, credentialing, onboarding, rostering and allocation of junior and senior medical officers at CHQ. The team delivers medical education and professional development programs to build a skilled and sustainable medical workforce.

About the Role

In this role you will utilise CHQ's resources to maximise the positive impact we have for children, young people and families (Leader of Function) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

  • Provide expert advice and high-level support to the Responsible Processing Owner (RPO), executive, clinical divisions and medical officers on all aspects relating to the employment of medical officers including:
    • Immigration and visa
    • Specialist Training College requirements
    • Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (Ahpra) registration
    • Australian Medical Council (AMC)
