Your Role
In this role, you will work collaboratively with Berrinba East State School leadership and teaching staff, student services team, local Early Childhood Education Centres and external agencies to support wellbeing, family engagement and positive educational outcomes for students kindergarten to year 2. You will assist families to access appropriate supports, foster strong relationships with the school, and promote inclusion and belonging for all students.
Experience working in a culturally responsive manner and/or a willingness to work and train in culturally appropriate approaches is highly desirable. Knowledge of the region's demographics, as well as familiarity with local service providers and agency supports, would also be highly regarded.

Responsibilities inlcude
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has demonstrated experience working with children, families and community services — particularly in the early years
- Is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple partnerships, referrals and follow-through tasks
- Shares a commitment to inclusive practice, community engagement, early intervention and making a tangible difference in student and family wellbeing.
- Values collaboration, flexibility and working as part of a team within a dynamic school environment.
- Work with and support the needs of vulnerable children from diverse and complex backgrounds, including First Nations young persons with disability and young persons in care.
- Support family capacity building to assist their child's learning, development and wellbeing, ongoing engagement in school, and the school to respond to the complex needs of students and families.
