An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Least Restrictive Care to our Mental Health Specialised Services (MHSS) Inpatient and Rehabilitation Mental Health Units.
The CNC – Least Restrictive Care works with the MHSS Inpatient and Rehabilitation Mental Health Services to identify, implement and evaluate a suite of local strategies and resources such as (but not limited to) “Safe Wards” to support the service to reduce the use of restrictive practices within the Authorised Mental Health Service.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Work collaboratively with the MHSS Directors, Professional Leads and other multidisciplinary MHSS teams to implement clinical governance requirements that align with the MHSS Governance Framework.
- Lead, develop and collaborate in a MHSS Workforce Engagement strategy.
- Review and build on the current status of the implementation of Safe Wards with the aim to fully incorporate Safe Wards in all inpatient units across MHSS.
Remuneration value up to $13 684 p.m., comprising salary between $5081.10 - $5516.60 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (NRG7) (Fixed Term Temporary Full Time for 8 months).
