Administrative Officer - Tannum Sands State High School

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting student success?

We are seeking a full-time Administration Officer to join our team, with a major focus on managing attendance and ensuring accurate records across the school.

You will contribute to the effective and efficient administrative management of the school by providing relevant and timely administrative support to the Principal and Business Manager.

You will work within existing guidelines to provide basic resolution of problems by reference to established procedure, consulting the Principal or Business Manager for matters that are more complex or non-routine.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

  • Monitor and manage daily student attendance using school systems.
  • Follow up on unexplained absences and liaise with parents/carers.
  • Prepare attendance reports for leadership and compliance purposes.
  • Support staff with attendance-related queries and processes.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, minute taking and reception duties.

The Perfect Fit:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with families and staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and school administration systems (experience with OneSchool and Daymap is an advantage).
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a busy environment.
  • Previous experience in a school or similar setting is desirable.
