The Program Officer is responsible for supporting and delivering regional governance and corporate processes across areas including risk management, facilities management, human resource management, financial management, project management, operational plan reporting, record keeping, asset management and workplace health and safety. The Program Officer works closely with the regional office leadership team to support them through coordination of key management activities and provide administrative support to the Regional Director.
About the role:
As the Program Officer, you will:
• Provide high level service in the delivery of administrative support to the Regional Director and leadership team and in the application of relevant corporate governance procedures of the region.
• Coordinate ministerial and executive correspondence, including undertaking quality assurance activities, to ensure high quality work is delivered within strict deadlines.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of regional activities and outcomes by assisting in the research, development, implementation, and evaluation of projects, business processes, administration, and information systems that support regional programs and services.

The position requires an applicant who can:
• Provide high quality administrative and corporate services to the Regional Director and leadership team and in the application of relevant corporate governance procedures of the region which include but are not limited to risk management, facilities management, human resource management, financial management, project management, operational plan reporting, record keeping, asset management and workplace health and safety.
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend and implement enhancements to existing practices, including the development of resources, systems and processes to support regional service delivery.
• Build and sustain effective, collaborative, and respectful relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure that knowledge and information is shared and regional practices, operations, and systems reflect contemporary administrative and management practices.
• Demonstrate a growth mindset, openness to feedback, commitment to personal development, proactivity, and public sector professionalism and accountability.
