The Manager, Right to Information (RTI) Services is a multi-facetted position which is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the information access function under the Right to Information Act 2009 (the RTI Act),on behalf of the multiple client agencies of the Business & Corporate Partnership.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of client agencies, ensuring no two days are the same.You will have the opportunity to develop your skills as a leader of a high-performing team of RTI decision makers,while applying your knowledge of government policy and regulatory areas.

As the Manager, you will:
• Provide leadership and direction to the RTI Services team in the delivery of a high quality, client-focussed service through setting priorities, direction and service level expectations.
• Ensure the team delivers clear and well-reasoned advice and decisions under the RTI Act - including disclosure log decision-making - that is consistent, reliable, and aligned with current legislation, government policy, and best practice.
• Make internal review decisions in accordance with the RTI Act, including providing expert advice and guidance to staff, applicants and internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of RTI.
• Establish and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships within the department, BCP partner agencies and across government/other external bodies.
• Analyse and refine business processes and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce delays, and enhance the client experience. Identify opportunities to leverage technology and data to support decision-making and service delivery.
• Prepare and present high-quality reports and briefings, that inform executive decision-making and contribute to the development of access to information frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to established performance metrics and service standards to maintain accountability, drive continuous improvement, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Effectively manage the human and financial resources in accordance with departmental policy and budget allocations.
• Champion a respectful and high-performing team culture that values diversity, team morale and supports professional development.
• Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace that is free from bullying, discrimination and harassment.
