Ranger in Charge
Southern Parks & Forests Regional Operations; Management & Operations; Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service & Partnerships; Gatton (Refer To Role Description)
Rangers ensure that Queensland’s national parks, state forests & reserves are protected, accessible & valued by everyone.
The primary focus of this role is the management of Protected Areas, approximately 50,000 hectares, including Glen Rock, Lockyer, Deongwar, & the northern sections of Main Range National Park. A key priority will be ensuring departmental assets & visitor infrastructure are maintained to a high standard.
The position will lead a team of rangers responsible for the daily management of parks & forests within the Lockyer Management Unit. While the successful candidate will participate in general operational ranger activities, the primary focus will be on coordinating & overseeing daily management tasks & strategic projects.
