The role will provide high level business support to the Research and Clinical Trials team through assisting in the provision of cost-effective, business focused operational and strategic resource management advice and expertise. The role is also required to assist the division to coordinate and manage financial, human and other resources, procurement and contract management processes for the division. You will provide the effective and timely coordination of finance and business support functions enabling business continuity and success through quality assurance in the form of valuable and ethical compliance and governance, assisting management’s decision-making processes.

The role is also required to assist the division to coordinate and manage financial, human and other resources, procurement and contract management processes for the division. You will provide the effective and timely coordination of finance and business support functions enabling business continuity and success through quality assurance in the form of valuable and ethical compliance and governance, assisting management's decision-making processes.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage and ensure the business support functions operate consistently and effectively, enabling strategic objectives and legislative obligations to be met including overseeing the finance functions and business activities of the research and clinical trial division, including monitor compliance with financial legislation and Qld Health policies.
- Provide professional services and advice in relation to research and clinical trial financial management to Executive, Directors and stakeholders within a complex multi-disciplinary service.
- Manage and coordinate a program of work which assesses financial standards compliance across a range of transaction types, delegations and commitments; including but not limited to procurement, contract management, payroll and establishment.
- Advise, consult and negotiate with senior managers and researchers in the management of the budget and other business support activities, including assisting in the development of complex documentation for decision by senior officers (briefing papers, concept briefs, business cases and funding submissions and acquittals) and research activity and costing data to support submissions and enable confident decision making to occur.
Remuneration value up to $148 323 p.a, comprising salary between $121 360 - $129 998 p.a, employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (A06).
