Our Team:
Policy supports The Cabinet Office in the development and coordination of strategic policy across government. The team addresses Queensland's key economic, social, law and justice, and environmental and planning policy issues and provides strategic advice, analysis and options that support the government's policy agenda.
How you'll contribute:
• Manage proactive diary and inbox coordination for the Executive Director including organisation of meetings, conferences, seminars, travel arrangements and accommodation.
• Provide high-level, confidential executive support to the Executive Director, ensuring tasks are completed with discretion and professionalism.
• Ensure efficient operation of day-to-day activities for the business unit including coordinating incoming requests and collating responses within a timely manner.
• Undertake the role of Local Information Officer (LIO) for the team regarding human resource matters (new starters, exits etc), finance matters (budget expenses, expenditure reconciliation and collation of financial and other data) required for reporting as well as disseminating departmental information to the team as appropriate.
• Ensure records and correspondence are managed and actioned according to departmental procedures.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement of systems, processes and procedures.
• Undertake general administrative duties as required including but not limited to minute taking and preparing routine correspondence.
• Provide support to other administrative officers and teams as required.
