As the Administration Officer, Audiology Outpatients (3a OPD) you will provide professional and courteous customer service as well as efficient appointment coordination for the Audiology department, ensuring appropriate action, response and follow-up within suitable timeframes to support the frontline team in delivering quality services.

About the Team

The audiology team provide assessment (testing), care and treatment for children with hearing related conditions. The audiology team provides a range of outpatient and inpatient services for children aged from birth to 16 years. This role  provides administrative services and support to the audiology outpatient services.

About the Role

In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

  • Providing excellent customer focus in a friendly and helpful manner, maintain the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with parents, patients, members of the public and departmental staff both in person, over the telephone and via email.
  • Proficiently complete functions associated with the wait listing of patients, bookings for appointments, managing appointment cancellations, rescheduling and removals from the waiting list using the relevant information systems in a timely manner.
